Sportieve ambities seizoen 2025-2026

Moving into the 25/26 season I feel it is now time for changes at our club. I feel as Sportive Director I understand our club, our players and our stakeholders. I have observed, I have listened and I have gained valuable understanding. I feel we are ready for a new direction.

As a committee we started to put together our new vision in November 24 and we are excited to make the proposal to our KHCB family.

Performance Hockey

Over the last 2 years at KHCB we have focused on offering all members the same opportunity throughout the different categories and teams. We have done our upmost to make sure all players and parents have felt valued.

As we move forward, we are presenting 2 differing packages in the Bovenbouw category

  • Performance
  • Development

Performance Hockey will be aimed at our 1st teams in the Bovenbouw category including our Dames and Heren 1.

Performance teams will now train 3 times a week which will initially include 2 pitch sessions (3 hours) and 1 physical session (1 hour) per week,

We are excited to announce our physical training partner: Jims

The long-term vision for Performance hockey is to add another pitch session that would include the physical workout. Currently our 2 fields are working at full capacity. Plans for the 3rd field are well under way and this will give us huge opportunities to further develop the Performance and Development hockey packages.

Development Hockey will be also offered the opportunity to organise and access physical workouts per week. We are working with Progress to create weekly sessions for development teams.

Having a background in Skill development I fully understand that all players develop at different rates. We already facilitate this at KHCB with mid-season feedback and reselections. The importance of the Development hockey is equal to the Performance hockey.

Video analysis confirmation

For next season we have confirmed to further professionalise our club by investing in video analysis. This includes new camara’s and a new analysis platform for breaking down the game and sharing with players/coaches.  The insight and feedback that video analysis can offer will be a huge asset to our coaching staff.

We will have the possibility to analyse both fields and inside the indoor facility. Sharing the information with the players via presentations at the club or via the application to view at home.

We feel this investment will build on our players tactical insight and help to produce a more knowledgeable hockey player on the field.

Middenbouw

As part of the performance plan, we will also highlight the Middenbouw age range. From u9-u12, we see the importance of teaching and developing technical skills. We aim to achieve this by

  • Appointing our senior trainers to lead trainings across Middenbouw teams
  • Redesigning our Red/Blue academies to be Middenbouw focused groups
  • Middenbouw home matches to be overseen by Senior Trainers assisting club coaches

Last season we made the decision to selected based on skill/potential, this is the next step to further develop our players across the Middenbouw category.

Kindest regards
